Elephants on Mars is a space-themed collaboration game where teams compete to send animals to the newly terraformed Mars. Each player on a team has a unique role, and must coordinate actions to choose animals, purchase rockets and launch their missions. (No virtual animals were harmed in the making of this game.)
Enter into a space-themed adventure where humans have to populate the planet of Mars with animals! Earth is no longer habitable, and humanity has chosen to send it’s rich biodiversity to preserve it! In this games, teams have to work together under pressure to send animals into space.
Each team member takes on a unique role and must coordinate their actions to choose animals, purchase rockets and fuel and launch their animals. Resources have to be allocated to each member, so be prepared to communicate effectively! In groups of four, teams will take on the role of Captain, Pilot, Vet and Engineer.
The game is played over six missions. Each mission a team has the chance to send one animal to Mars before time runs out. At the end of the game, all teams will see the final results of their combined efforts, and if they were able to achieve their shared goal of transforming Mars from a cold desert world to a biodiverse paradise.
While this game is extremely fun and fast-paced, there is much more than can be gained by playing the game. Each team member plays their unique role and chooses their own actions, making them accountable to the entire team for their decisions. The game requires team members to communicate effectively and talk and support each other. Decision-making processes within a team will be put to the test.
